What we believe
We firmly believe that contemporary film education should support students in carving their own path to success.
Our core goals are to train the next generation of filmmakers and creators to be the best at what they do and to deliver courses at the cutting edge of industry trends. How do we do that? We constantly consult and engage with industry experts to discover what skills and experience filmmaking graduates need to stand out from the crowd.
Why We Believe in the Creative Industries
A career in the screen and film industries isn’t a pipe dream.
Our industry is booming, and we have the latest research and figures to prove it. Official 2022 BFI statistics revealed a record £6.27 billion film and high-end TV production spend in the UK. The UK games industry market was worth £7.05 billion in 2022, and experts are predicting a jaw-dropping annual growth rate of 7.78% from 2023 to 2027.
The industry-led skills body for the screen industries, ScreenSkills, have reported that by 2025 film and high-end television production in the UK will be worth £7.7bn per year and a further 21,000 new crew members will be required to meet that demand.
