Post-Production Runner at Envy
Tom, who hails from London, is a freelance editor who studied Filmmaking at Screen and Film School Brighton before graduating in 2020.
Whilst studying at the Film School, Tom chose to focus on editing as his area of specialism. He is now based in London and has continued his relationship with the Film School by taking on the additional part-time role of Student Mentor and Community Leader on our very own social media platform, ‘SFS Connect‘.
During his time with us, Tom was able to gain helpful industry engagement experience with one of our Industry Partners, ‘Be the Fox‘. He was given the opportunity to work as an editor on a professional project for the brand content company . In this role he was able to gain further insight into the workflow of the branded content industry, which he says he found inspiring.
What was the most valuable thing you learned at Screen and Film School?
“How to work and collaborate in a team.”
What advice would you offer a current Screen and Film School student?
“Use your time to meet many great individuals who share the same passion as you and try and collaborate on as many projects as you can to build up your personal portfolio. Most importantly, have fun doing what you love.”
