The Into Games Future Talent Scholarship

We are excited to announce that BIMM University has partnered with Into Games for the Future Talent Scholarship for students applying to Creative Technology undergraduate courses at Screen and Film School Brighton.

Into Games is a nonprofit organisation that supports people in their careers in the games industry. Its principal aim is to ensure everyone has the opportunity to access a career in the industry, regardless of their background. Their work is focused on inspiring and nurturing those from low-income backgrounds and those underrepresented in the industry to create a more diverse and accessible UK games sector.

At Screen and Film School Brighton, we have a longstanding commitment to inspiring and nurturing the next generation of creative professionals, and our Creative Technology degrees have been specifically tailored to support those of different learning styles, backgrounds, and identities. It’s clear that Into Games shares this vision, making the organisation the ideal partner for the Future Talent Scholarship.

Applicable to eligible students beginning their course in September 2024, the Into Games Future Talent Scholarship will provide full tuition fees for a candidate from an underrepresented background and/or low household income. We are seeking a candidate who demonstrates talent, a strong creative vision, and a passion for working in games.

The scholarship will be awarded to an eligible first-year undergraduate student at Screen and Film School Brighton, studying BA (Hons) Games Design & Development or BA (Hons) Games Art & Technology.

We understand the financial challenges of pursuing a creative degree, which is why we offer a range of scholarships and bursaries to help you achieve your goals.

Who can apply for the scholarship?

  • You are applying for an eligible undergraduate degree at Screen and Film School Brighton, starting in September 2024.
  • Your chosen course is either:
    • BA (Hons) Games Design & Development
    • BA (Hons) Games Art & Technology
  • You are a UK national with home fee status.
  • You are from a low income* household and/or an underrepresented group in higher education. This includes:
    • Students from a global majority background.
    • Students who have experience in care or are estranged.
    • Mature students.
    • Students who identify as part of the LGBTQI+ community, or are from a gender-diverse background.
    • Disabled students.

*Student Finance England (SFE) also offers a full maintenance grant to students with a household income of £25,000 or less.

How to apply

You will first need to apply for an eligible undergraduate degree course at Screen and Film School Brighton starting in September 2024.

Once you have applied and have your applicant ID, please complete the scholarship application form by clicking the button below.

Applications for the Into Games Future Talent Scholarship close on 12th July 2024. Scholarships will only be awarded to those who go on to accept an offer from Screen and Film School Brighton and complete the enrollment process.

Applications for the Into Games Future Talent Scholarship 2024 have now closed.

What happens next

A panel will assess your application and we will contact you as soon as possible regarding the outcome. As this is a competitive process and there are a limited number of scholarships available, we strongly recommend that all applicants follow the usual processes to secure student funding. Where appropriate, successful applicants will be able to amend or cancel their request for financial support from Student Finance England once their scholarship has been awarded.

Applying for the Into Games Future Talent Scholarship will not exclude you from accessing university hardship funds or the Fair Access Fund.
