UCAS Extra is open from today, you can still apply to study at Screen and Film School this September

28 February, 2024

Did you know that it’s not too late to join us in 2024? If you’ve just discovered Screen and Film School and all that we have to offer but you’ve already chosen your five UCAS choices, don’t worry. UCAS Extra is here for you.

The end of the last week in February marks the opening of UCAS Extra. Extra is another chance for you to gain a place at any one of our three schools, anytime between 28th February and 4th July.

You will be able to use Extra to add an application to Screen and Film School if you have done any of the following:

  • Included five choices on your application
  • Have received decisions from any or all five
  • Your application has not been accepted
  • You have declined any offers you have received

The most bespoke film courses anywhere in the UK are waiting for you in Birmingham, Brighton and Manchester.

Top tips for if you want to add Screen and Film School as a choice using Extra:

  • If the course you’re applying for at Screen and Film School is completely different to your other choices, then you may want to send us a new personal statement to strengthen your application.
  • Find a course you want to apply to and then use the filter ‘Show courses with vacancies’ in the UCAS search tool. From there you can contact Screen and Film School to check if we’ll consider you.
  • We will then consider your application and you will hear from us within 21 days.
  • It’s totally free to add just one extra choice, just make sure you apply before the 4th July deadline.
  • If you want to apply to Screen and Film School through UCAS Extra, search for ‘BIMM University‘ as the university name in UCAS to view our film courses.

What happens next if you apply to Screen and Film School through UCAS Extra?

Once you have received an offer from us, we would ask you to accept it on your UCAS Track Account. Make sure you reply to the offer by the date shown on your homepage, or your offer may be declined. If you decline the offer, you can still add another choice. We should reply to you within 21 days and then hopefully your Screen and Film School journey can begin.
