Screen and Film School Enrolment

Why do you need to enrol?

Registration and Enrolment is the process of becoming a student at BIMM University. It is compulsory for you to enrol with us at the beginning of your studies and re-enrol at the beginning of each following academic year of your course.

You must hold an unconditional offer which you have firmly accepted to be invited to enrol once enrolment opens in mid-July.

The first step is completing the online registration form where you will be asked to confirm, provide or update the information we hold on you. We only collect and store information that is required to support you as a student or we are required to provide through regulatory returns.

Read our Student Registration and Enrolment policy (PDF) for more information.

What do you need to do to enrol?

Online Registration

Registration opens in mid-July each Summer. Once you are eligible to register we will send you an invitation to the email address you provided on your application (contact Admissions if you need to update this). The email will come from [email protected] with the subject Register at BIMM University. Follow the steps to set up your account and complete the registration form. This is compulsory, you cannot progress further through enrolment or start the course without completing the registration form.

Tuition Fees

There are a number of ways you can pay your tuition fees, the main ones being privately or with a student loan. Our finance team may contact you during enrolment if we are unsure how you are going to be paying. Alternatively, you can contact the finance team at [email protected]. More information about tuition fees and scholarships and bursaries is available by clicking this card.

Digital Induction

To help you get ahead when settling into University life we have created a digital Welcome Week for you to work through ahead of starting your course. You will need your student email and password to complete this, which will be sent to your personal email at the end of August providing you have completed the registration form. This short course will introduce you to all the necessary student systems, including how to access your timetable.

Student ID Card

All students and staff must wear an ID card when on Campus. Your ID card will be available for you to collect at Welcome Week providing you have completed the registration form.

Proof of Enrolment

A proof of enrolment letter will be emailed to you on completion of the registration form. This letter can be emailed to letting agents if they ask for evidence you are a student and for council tax exemption in the UK.

Welcome Week and Freshers

Once you've completed the registration form, told us how you're paying your tuition fees and got familiar with the student systems you'll be using, it's time to get excited about Welcome Week and Freshers! You will hear from your Campus about what to expect and when and where you need to be on the first day. Look out for an email from them and keep checking your School’s SharePoint site for more information. Welcome Week usually takes place 1-2 weeks ahead of the semester starting. It's best to be settled into your accommodation by then so you don't miss out on anything.
