OUTREACH AND SCHOOL LIAISON
Screen and Film School’s outreach programme aims to inspire and educate the next generation of filmmakers and raise awareness of the large and exciting range of careers in the British film industry. We are extremely passionate about higher education being available to all young people regardless of their background, age, ethnicity or support needs. In line with this, attending Screen and Film School is better value for money than most other higher education institutions, giving our learners a high-quality education at a realistic and affordable price.
Our industry professionals and outreach team make regular visits to colleges, sixth forms, schools and UCAS Fairs to share their experiences of the film industry and their career progression with the young people that they meet. If students are interested in the film school, we can talk about the courses we offer, how to apply and what it would be like to live in Brighton as a filmmaker.
We would welcome the opportunity to come to your school or college and provide entertaining and educational talks on career opportunities in the film industry and give advice on how students can start to build a portfolio ready for applying for higher education opportunities.
Otherwise, you can bring your students to Screen and Film School and see the fantastic facilities for yourself. We can get you involved in a practical hands-on film workshop with first class kit including cameras, lighting, sound and of course, the classic clapper. Talks last approximately 45-60 minutes with time for questions and workshops can last from anything between 45 minutes and half a day.
If you would like to book a school or college careers/progression talk then please do not hesitate to contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
We also open our doors each year in a series of open days. Please book your place at our next open days.
At Screen and Film School, we work with schools and colleges to offer a wide variety of engagement and progression opportunities to students. We are dedicated to offering the best opportunities to students. We focus on widening participation and diversity recruitment to make sure all students get a fair opportunity to work in the film industry. Screen and film school works with over 100 schools and colleges across the country and as we are growing and expanding to Manchester, we are looking to work with many more!
