We are currently looking for an editing tutor for our Brighton site who has industry experience and can teach Premiere and/or Avid. Teaching experience would be great, but not essential. It would be part time and would start in September 2021.

Receptionist: Screen and Film School Manchester

Contractual Hours: 9am – 5:30pm Monday to Friday, 5 days per week, flexibility to work evenings / weekends will be required

Person specification

The post holder will be the first point of contact for all visitors to the college and will have an important role in welcoming and responding to students and visitors’ queries and concerns.  You will be required to support administrative teams in carrying out day-to-day tasks as required.  This is a varied and challenging role which will require excellent time management, prioritisation and customer service skills.

Essential criteria for applicant

• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels
• Commitment to delivering a high quality of customer service
• Able to prioritise and self-manage workload
• Able to work appropriately with confidential and sensitive data
• Able to work quickly and accurately under pressure
• Excellent teamwork skills.
• Computer literate with an excellent knowledge of Excel and Word

Desirable criteria for applicant

• Experience of working in Education
• High level of accuracy in data inputting
• Excellent personal presentation
• Excellent timekeeping and time management
• Ability to remain calm under pressure

Technician: Screen and Film School Manchester

Contractual Hours: 9am – 5:30pm Monday to Friday, 4 days per week, flexibility to work evenings / weekends will be required

Person specification

The post holder will be an experienced and highly motivated individual with technical knowledge of Filmmaking equipment, software and studios. They will be primarily responsible for the running of the kit room, technical demonstration and tuition, studio management, post production, student support, as well as liaising with IT on computer issues. Strong communication skills are vital as is the support and interaction with other Screen and Film School sites, to ensure parity and compliance.  The successful candidate will be expected to be flexible and willing to visit other colleges, for both support of existing programmes and the development of new programmes to ensure Screen and Film School stay at the forefront of filmmaking education. This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly motivated individual to be the first member of staff in an exciting new school and grow with the team, over the coming years.
