Alex Williams (He/Him)

Lecturer, Game Designer

Alex Williams is an award-winning game designer with over 10 years of game development experience.

He has worked in AAA and Indie in a variety of design, artist, and creative direction roles; he has designed gameplay and levels, built worlds as an artist, and written prose for fictional worlds and characters.  
In understanding the how and why, inspiration and connection come from many places. Alex draws his sense of design broad and deep from everyday life. 
With the Deep Sky Games Cooperative, Alex is working on popularising and advocating democratic workplaces in game development. He speaks regularly on the subject, and co-organises a local community in Berlin. He wants to make games a space for everyone, and for creators to own their labour.
