Screen and Film School Brighton announce brand new building for 2021: Brighton Film Studios

Set to open in September 2021, the dedicated film lot represents a giant leap forward in Screen and Film School’s continued development, and fittingly arrives in the year of the college’s fifteenth anniversary.

Situated just over two miles north east from Brighton’s city centre, Brighton Film Studios will be one of the only film lots of its kind on the south coast. The huge 11,000 square foot space will house state of the art facilities for our current students, our 2021 applicants and industry partners, including:

• Two large scale flexible film studios spaces
• Two floors of technical storage for camera and lighting equipment
• A Green Room with hair, make-up and costume facilities
• A Mac Editing Suite
• A Production Meeting Room and Student Lounge

College Principal Itziar Leighton said: “We have searched long and hard for the appropriate film studio space that is worthy of our students and their aspirations. I am delighted to say we have now achieved this and look forward to the many productions which will be shot there. Brighton Film Studios will become an asset to the city, and hopefully encourage even more creative media productions in Brighton.”
